Class Placement- May 22

Please fill out this form for each student by May 18.  Class List Form

On May 22, we will meet to collaboratively create class lists.

8:00- Special Ed Teachers
10:15- 3rd grade teachers
11:00- 4th grade teachers
12:45- 2nd grade teachers
1:30- 1st grade teachers
2:15- K teachers
3:00- Specialists

Goal:  To help make the best fit for our students’ needs.

Essential Agreements
We will focus on the child’s needs.
We will speak openly and choose words thoughtfully and professionally.
We will be objective.
All conversations will remain confidential.

Process
  1. Place Students with Special Needs- IEP, GT, ELL (Flexible)
  2. Place students with other needs- separate from
  3. Place students with Behavior Needs  (1)
  4. Place Students with Academic Needs for Differentiation (Low)
  5. Place Students with Academic Needs for Differentiation (High)
  6. Balance boys, girls, and numbers.

Susie & Aria will facilitate discussion and keep us on track.
You will have time to review the lists and suggest changes.

I will make announcements for students to go to their next year class. You will have class lists to let them know where to go.

What?
  • Meet kids with a Morning meeting format and fill out Letter
